NRGFL INDOOR 5's TOURNAMENT RULES

Teams must register no later than:

17's - Saturday, 20^th January 2007

·         10.30 am at the Beach Leisure Centre (for prompt 11.00 am start)

15's - Saturday, 27 January 2007

·         9.45 am at the Beach Leisure Centre (for prompt 10.15 am start)

13's - Saturday, 27^th January 2007

·         1.45 am at the Beach Leisure Centre (for prompt 2.15 pm start)

1.         No jewellery/watches to be worn. Small stud earrings MUST be taped.

2.     In the event of a team not taking to the pitch within 2 minutes of the end of the preceding fixture, the match     shall be awarded to the opposition.

3.     A team shall consist of 1 GK and 4 outfield players.

4.   Although squad numbers are unlimited, only 8 players shall be selected to participate in one match.

 A maximum of 3 players and 2 officials shall be permitted in the designated technical area.  No trialists shall be permitted. Teams will be required to submit their team lines at registration.

5.  3 points shall be awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw.

6.       Section matches, Semi Finals and Finals shall provisionally be as follows:

17's -           10 mins one way

15's -           10 mins one way

13's -           10 mins one way

     Captains must toss before games for possession of KO. Opposition then has choice of direction of play.

7.     Although the ball CAN be played forward from KO a goal CANNOT be scored directly from KO.

8.       If the ball rises above head height from a kick or pass from a player, an indirect free kick shall be awarded and play shall continue. Any ball, which is above head height within the goal circle, shall be the GK's.

9.       At a free kick, opposition players must be at least 3 metres away.

10.   GK must throw the ball out underarm. They are not permitted outside the goal circle unless through momentum. A penalty shall be awarded if the GK intentionally goes outside the goal circle.

11.     Any player other then the GK is not permitted inside the goal circle unless through momentum. A penalty shall be awarded if any of her team intentionally enters the circle. This includes players running across the circle without touching the ball.

12.    Players are not permitted in the opposition goal circle. This shall be GK's ball.

13.    GK’s cannot be changed or substituted during a match unless injured.

14.    No sliding tackles shall be permitted.

15.     Players receiving 2 yellow cards in one match shall be sent off and shall miss the next match. Players receiving a red card in one match shall be sent off and miss the next match. Players receiving a further red card shall be excluded from the tournament. Players receiving 4 yellow cards shall be excluded from the tournament

16.  13's/15's/17's: The winners and runners up of each section shall compete in the Semi - Finals.

Winners of Group A shall play the runners up of Group B

            Winners of Group B shall play the runners up of Group A

In the event of teams finishing with equal points, the following shall apply:

•          Goal Difference

•          Goals For

•          For equal winners of a group, the winner of the game played between the two.

•          For equal runners-up of a group, the best result of the match they played against the winners of their section, taking first goal difference and then goals scored into account.

If still equal then:

•          The result of the match they played against the bottom placed team in their section shall be disregarded.

If still equal then:

A penalty shoot out shall take place.

Best of 3 then 'sudden death'

FINAL

In the event of a draw, 5 minutes extra time shall be played. Teams shall toss for kick off and direction of play.  If still level after extra time, a penalty shoot out shall take place. Only players who were in the squad for the Final shall be eligible to take penalty kicks. Best of 3 then sudden death.

IN ALL OF THE ABOVE RULES THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE’S DECISION SHALL BE FINAL

There will be a coaches meeting with referees approx. 15 minutes before the start
